ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon College and the Department of Athletics announced the addition of Ben Knoeck to the Yellow Jackets' swimming coaching staff.

"I'm very thankful to have the opportunity to work with and learn from Coach Kintzer," said Knoeck. "I'm excited to get to work with our athletes and to assist in the continued development of this program and go Jackets!" 

Knoeck comes to Ashland after serving as an assistant coach with the Waunakee Wave Swim Team in Waunakee, Wisconsin. In that role, he worked with swimmers ranging from the eight-and-under training group through the senior level, focusing on stroke fundamentals, technique, conditioning and race preparation. Knoeck also helped prepare 28 state qualifiers for end-of-season competition and assisted with swimmer organization, warm-ups and race strategy during meets.

Prior to his time with Waunakee Wave, Knoeck served as a volunteer assistant boys swim coach at Oshkosh West High School during the 2024-25 season. He assisted with the planning and execution of daily practices while helping student-athletes develop their stroke technique, conditioning and meet preparation.

Knoeck also gained coaching experience with the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Swim Camps in 2024 and 2025. During the week-long camps, he worked with swimmers in both the 12-and-under and 13-and-over age groups, assisting with instruction in all four competitive strokes while providing individualized feedback on stroke mechanics, starts and turns.

His coaching career began with the Monona Swim & Dive Club in 2021, where he worked primarily with eight-and-under swimmers. Knoeck led age-appropriate practices focused on fundamental stroke mechanics and water skills while also assisting with meet preparation and athlete support.

A 2025 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Knoeck earned his degree in radio, television and film with a minor in multimedia journalism. He was also a four-year letter winner as a member of the Titans swimming program.
