SAVANNAH, Ga. - Randolph-Macon women's golf is back in action for the first time since the fall season, sitting in the top-10 of a loaded field in Savannah, Georgia.
The tournament field is represented by five of top-10 programs in the country and totaled eight programs in the top-25.
Lilly Hall (Yorktown, Va./Liberty University Online Academy) led the team with an impressive opening round, firing off a -1 (72). The sophomore recorded two birdies on the day, only one bogey away from a bogey free round and ended the day 11th overall as an individual.
Morgan Mussatt (Henrico, Va./Mills Godwin) finished the day with a score of +1 (74) for the Yellow Jackets. The junior shot even par on the back nine, adding two birdies in the round and sits 16th as an individual.
Alexis Haller (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate School) finished the opening round with a score of +4 (77) for Randolph-Macon. The junior ended the day in 44th place as an individual out of over 100 golfers.
Grace Anne Haggerty (Glen Allen, Va./St. Catherine's) rounded out the team scoring with a +6 (79) on day one of the tournament. The freshman sits just outside the top-50 as an individual for the Yellow Jackets.
Elli Flinchum (Summerfield, N.C./Rockingham County) completed her round at +14 (87) with one birdie on the back nine. The senior also added five pars to her scorecard in the opening round.
