ASHLAND, Va. – The Yellow Jackets continue to garner votes in the latest ABCA poll, earning 44 total votes from coaches across the country.

The Yellow Jackets were also tabbed as receiving in the week six D3baseball/NCBWA poll, after receiving votes in the first five weeks.

This past week, RMC turned in a 2-2 record, dropping tough contests against #2 Lynchburg and York College of Pennsylvania, before enforcing the mercy rule in both games of a home doubleheader against Eastern Mennonite.

In the game one 14-4 win against the Royals, Randolph-Macon drew a season-high 14 walks, surpassing their previous season-high of seven. Additionally, RMC recorded a .320 batting average, its highest in its previous five contests. The Yellow Jackets followed with a 17-7 win in game two, which included 16 hits from the home team. Thanks to the mark, the Lemon and Black have reached eight-or-more hits in 17 of its 20 games this season. Furthermore, the home team tallied a .471 batting average in the contest, marking the team's second-highest of the season.

The Yellow Jackets are 8-0 this season when they record a batting average of .300-or-greater. They will travel to Hampden-Sydney for a 7:00 p.m. contest on Wednesday, April 1 for its next matchup.
