ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Men's Basketball heads into the NCAA tournament ranked fourth in the D3Hoops.com Top-25 poll.

The Yellow Jackets are No. 6 in the sixth set of NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings, the metric used by the Division III basketball committee for at-large selections as well as for seeding for the NCAA Tournament. Click here to view NPI

The Yellow Jackets began last week with a dominant win in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Quarterfinal against Guilford. Randolph-Macon defeated the Quakers 94-73 by using a 50 point second half to punch its ticket to Salem, Virginia. The win would extend the Lemon and Black's home win streak to 23 games, dating back to last season. 

Randolph-Macon continued the week with a defensive masterclass against rival Hampden-Sydney in the semifinal matchup. The tough defense held the Tigers to 14 second half points, moving the Lemon and Black into the conference title game with a 69-41 win. The Yellow Jackets ended up falling to conference champion Roanoke on Saturday night.    

The Yellow Jackets are now 25-3 (14-2) on the season and will host one of the opening weekend pods in the NCAA Tournament. Randolph-Macon begins the tournament against N.C. Wesleyan on Friday, March 6.
