3/16/2026 4:31:00 PM

FOREST, Va. – Senior Kody Rogan (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) and junior Bryce Matthews (Chesterfield, Va./Clover Hill) have been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Players of the Week.

This is Rogan's fourth career ODAC weekly award and first of the season. Additionally, this is Matthews' second weekly honor of his career, giving him two in 2026.

Randolph-Macon won two of its three matches this past week, including another two conference sweeps. The Yellow Jackets defeated Lynchburg 3-0, before hosting Randolph for another 3-0 victory. Despite the loss to a Division I Pioneers team, RMC is now 21-4 to start the season, marking their best record through the first 25 matches of a season in program history.

Appearing in two matches this past week, Matthews helped RMC stay perfect in conference play. In the contest against the Hornets, the two-time defensive player of the week led the team with 15 kills on 31 total attacks for a .355 hitting percentage, while also adding two aces, six digs and two blocks. Furthermore, he accumulated 18.5 points in his three sets of play. In the sweep against Randolph, the junior tallied a career-high 14 digs and matched his season and career high with 21.5 points. On the offensive side of the ball, he tied his career-high with 19 kills, with a career-high 46 total attacks. He continued to stuff the stat sheet, as he also finished with three blocks, his seventh consecutive match with multiple blocks.

Rogan served as the middle man on offense RMC's two sweeps against Lynchburg and Randolph this week. In the win against the Hornets, Rogan led his team with 21 assists, while adding an ace and 10 digs. The senior also tied his career-high with 15 total attacks. In the win against Randolph, Rogan ripped two kills and a match-high 35 assists, while posting 11 digs and four blocks. The four blocks are his second-highest this season, while his 35 assists marks the fourth time he has reached the threshold this season. He has 15 consecutive matches with 20-or-more assists, and his 21 digs this week ties the third-most in any two consecutive matches of his career.

On Wednesday, March 18 the Lemon and Black travel to Virginia Beach, Virginia, to face Virginia Wesleyan at 7:00 p.m.
