Merkel Named COY, Three Earn MBB All-ODAC Nod

FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced the 2025-26 all-conference basketball teams. The Yellow Jackets have three players represented as well as Head Coach Josh Merkel's eighth Bob Johnson Coach of the Year honor.
 
Keishawn Pulley Jr. (Richmond, Va./St. Christopher's School) has been named to the All-ODAC First Team for the third consecutive season. Pulley Jr. averaged 9.9 points per game in conference play this year and his 39.2% shooting from three-point range in conference play lands him ranked second in the conference. The senior also ranked tenth in conference competition with 1.9 three balls per game, making him a dangerous threat from the perimeter. Pulley Jr. recorded his season-high point total against Lynchburg, scoring 18 to guide the Lemon and Black at home.  

Jabril Robinson (Rockville, Md./South Kent Prep) has been named to the All-ODAC First Team for the third consecutive season. The senior scored in double figures in 10 of the 14 conference games he appeared in and averaged 12.6 points per game in conference play this year. He ranked ninth in the conference in overall field goal percentage at 46.5%. Robinson also ranked in the top-20 in the conference in steals per game at 1.2. He scored his season-high in points against rival Hampden-Sydney, scoring 24 points to lead the Yellow Jackets at home. 

Theo Antinori (Asheville, N.C./Rabun Gap) has been named All-ODAC Third Team for his first All-ODAC honor of his career. The junior scored in double figures in nine different conference games this season, six coming off the bench. He averaged 10.6 points per game in 15 conference games played this season. Antinori also led the conference in free-throw percentage at 91.2%. He recorded his first career double-double against Guilford in the ODAC Quarterfinals, this past Tuesday evening. Antinori ranked in the top-15 in the conference in three-pointers made per game at 1.6. He also landed in the top-25 in steals per game (1.1) and blocks per game (0.4). The sophomore was also lethal from three-point range, converting at a 45.3% clip.     

Josh Merkel picks up his eighth Bob Johnson ODAC Coach of the Year nod after leading the Yellow Jackets to a 24-2 record overall and a 14-2 record in ODAC play, winning the ODAC regular season for the ninth consecutive year. RMC won nine straight games to close out the regular season. Merkel has been named conference coach of the year for the third straight season. 
 
Top-seeded Randolph-Macon will head to Salem to play fourth-seeded Hampden-Sydney in the ODAC Semifinals at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellow Jackets were ranked first in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll as well as fourth in the final NPI rankings of the regular season.
