Gillian Gladden (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) has been named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week. Gladden was named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
The Yellow Jackets had a midweek matchup with I-95 rival Mary Washington on Day Field, falling 8-5. They finished off the week on Saturday when they had game one of a three-game road stretch, earning an 11-5 victory over McDaniel.
Against the Eagles, Gladden posted 13 saves on 29 shots faced for a save percentage of .619. Against the Green Terror, she recorded 15 saves on 25 shots faced for a save percentage of .750 on the afternoon. In the past two games, Gladden has faced 54 shots, saving 28 and allowing only 13 goals.
RMC continues the regular season with game two of their three-game road stretch, heading back up to Maryland on Wednesday, February 25, when they take on Stevenson. The first draw is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
