FOREST, Va. – Randolph-Macon senior forward
Davian Jackson (Newport News, Va./ Menchville) has been named ODAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season, following his performance last week.
Jackson recorded five points last week, recording a goal and an assist in the win over #8 Washington and Lee. He capped off the week tallying a second goal against Bridgewater on Saturday.
Against #8 WLU on Wednesday, Jackson ended the game with three points. He slotted an opportunity in the 24th minute to get the Yellow Jackets on the board. In the 56th minute, Jackson capped off a stellar combination play with a pass inside the box, helping extend the Yellow Jackets' lead in the top-10 matchup and earn their first win over a top-10 team in 10 years.
In Saturday's 2-1 loss against Bridgewater, Jackson sent the equalizer into the net 30 seconds after the Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute.
Jackson and the Yellow Jackets are back in action and will host rival Hampden-Sydney on Wednesday, October 21, for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
