VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Randolph-Macon Men's Basketball fell just short on the road to Virginia Wesleyan with a last second three-pointer, falling 65-64.

How it Happened:
- Virginia Wesleyan started the game with back-to-back three balls by T.J. East and Malcolm Velmar to take the 6-2 advantage. The Yellow Jackets rattled off six straight points to take the lead back at 8-6 with 13:50 on the clock. Liam Joyce (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) had back-to-back lay-ups and with 7:55 left in the half, extending the Randolph-Macon lead to 21-14. The Marlins cut the deficit to 25-22 with a Khai Seargeant three-pointer with 4:46 left on the clock. Randolph-Macon scored six out of the final nine points to take a 31-25 lead into halftime.
- In the second half, Malcolm Hodges (Richmond, Va./Monacan) kept the Randolph-Macon lead at six points with a lay-up, showing a score of 35-29. Omari Deveaux brought the Marlins back into the lead with a triple, giving Virginia Wesleyan a 36-35 lead with 16:37 on the clock. The teams traded the lead back and forth for the next six minutes, but Paul Anderson gave VWU a 50-46 lead with 10:54 left in regulation. Theo Antinori (Asheville, N.C./Rabun Gap) led the Lemon and Black on a 6-0 run, scoring five points and gave the 52-50 lead to RMC with 7:45 left on the clock. Keishawn Pulley Jr. (Richmond, Va./St. Christopher's School) and Joyce made back-to-back lay-ups and with Randolph-Macon had a 62-59 lead with :48 seconds left in regulation. Deveaux knocked down a three-pointer with :32 seconds to tie up the game at 62-62. Amr Areikat (Ramallah, Palestine./Langley) was fouled with :07 second left in the game and made both free throws, giving Randolph-Macon the lead 64-62. Virginia Wesleyan had the ball with :07 seconds and Deveaux nailed a three-pointer to win the game for the Marlins 65-64.

- Virginia Wesleyan shot 50.0 percent from the floor, as Randolph-Macon knocked down 44.1 percent of its shots.
