ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Yellow Jackets ended the Buttermaker Tournament with wins over Muhlenberg and Cedar Crest, advancing their season record to 6-2.

- Randolph-Macon opened up the first set with a 10-7 lead, using Cedar Crest errors and all around play. The Yellow Jackets took control of the set with an 11-1 run to grow their lead to 21-8. Marie Hall (High Point, N.C./Southwest Guilford) recorded two kills and the team used six different Falcon errors to help mount the huge lead. Sarah Temple (Raleigh, N.C./Millbrook Magnet) and Mia Goode (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) both ended the final points with a kill each, completing a dominant 25-12 set win for Randolph-Macon.
- In the second set, the Lemon and Black jumped out to a 10-4 lead, highlighted with two kills from Grace Ostvig (Fredericksburg, Va./Colonial Forge) and two by Temple. The domination continued throughout the remainder of the set, kills by Kennedy McDowney (Odenton, Md./Arundel) and Allison Lach (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) finished off a 25-13 scoreline.
- Cedar Crest would take advantage of multiple errors by the Yellow Jackets to begin the third set and hold a slim 9-7 advantage. The errors came back to haunt the Falcons in the next six points, as the Lemon and Black took the lead back at 13-9. The match would end by way of Randolph-Macon recording five kills in the final six points to win 25-14.
Inside the Numbers vs. Cedar Crest
- RMC led the match in total attacks (96), kills (42), assists (35) and hitting percentage (.313).
- Goode recorded match-highs in kills with seven.
- Milly Mach (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) led the match in assists with 12, while Trinity Makley (Morrisville, N.C./Panther Creek) tallied 11 assists.
- Kaitlyn Kaplan (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) extended her double-digit dig streak to seven games, after posting a team-high 13 digs.
