FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has released its preseason coaches' poll for the 2025 fall season and Randolph-Macon has been picked seventh. The Yellow Jackets received 65 points in the voting process.
Josh Laux is entering his 11th season at the helm of the Yellow and Black. He returns a slew of key contributors from the 2024 season as they search for their fourth nine-win season in the past five years.
The standings start with ODAC runner-up runner-up Lynchburg picked at the top of the standings, garnering six out of the twelve first place votes and totalling 116 points. Washington and Lee found themselves tied at first after finishing as the reigning Conference Champions and making it to the NCAA Final Four last season. The Generals grabbed the final six first place votes to total 116 points. Virginia Wesleyan rounded out the top three spots with 96 overall points.
Roanoke was spotted in the fourth spot with 82 overall points and Hampden-Sydney took the fifth spot with 79 points.
Shenandoah placed in the sixth spot with 67 points, as the Yellow Jackets followed the Hornets with 65 points in seventh. Bridgewater sits in the eighth slot with 45 points, while Eastern Mennonite (42) and Averett (33) rounded out the top ten.
The final two spots went to Randolph (28) and Guilford (13) to complete the conference's men's soccer preseason poll for the 2025 season.
Randolph-Macon will open the season on Friday, Aug. 29, when they host North Carolina Wesleyan with a scheduled start of 4:00 p.m. on the RMC Grass Soccer Field.
