ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Football has been picked 21st in the D3football.com Preseason Top 25 Poll, following a third round appearance in last season's division III college football playoff. The Yellow Jackets are entering year 22 under head coach

The Yellow Jackets began the 2024 season at #10 in the preseason poll and finished the year at #20 in the final poll after completing their third straight ten plus win season.
In 2024, RMC went undefeated in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference to help guide them to yet another double-digit win season. The program also won its 15th ODAC crown and sixth in the last nine titles. The Lemon and Black received a first round bye in the NCAA playoffs, before hosting Washington and Jefferson in the second round and would defeat the Presidents by a score of 38-22. Randolph-Macon would head to Salisbury University to conclude the season in the third round of the postseason tournament.
The Yellow Jackets are one of four programs to reach the Round of 16 in each of the past three seasons, joining Mount Union, North Central and Wartburg. RMC is also one of three programs in NCAA Division III with nine or more wins in each of the past six full seasons (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024), joining Mount Union and North Central. The Yellow Jackets have a 44-3 ODAC record since 2018 (.936) and own a 48-5 overall record since 2020 (.906). Since 2018, RMC has the highest winning percentage (.868) of any college program at all levels on the East Coast (including Pennsylvania and New York) except for the University of Georgia.
Randolph-Macon opens the season at home to welcome in Dickinson on Sept. 5 before making the trip to Pella, Iowa to take on Central College at 1:00 p.m. on Sept. 13. Day Field will play host to the 130th edition of "The Game" that matches the Yellow Jackets up with Hampden-Sydney to conclude the regular season.
