LEXINGTON, Ky. – Randolph-Macon Men's Volleyball head coach
Christian Taylor has been named on the Thirty Under 30 list by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). The honor recognized up-and-coming coaches in different sectors of the sport who serve in a range of roles, from volunteer assistant to club director.

The program highlights 30 recipients under the age of 30 who work hard and are passionate about teaching, helping players reach their full potential, and growing the game at the collegiate, high school, and club level.

Taylor finished his fourth season at the helm of Randolph-Macon Men's Volleyball, taking the program to new levels in 2025, earning ODAC Coach of the Year honors. The Yellow Jackets went 22-10 overall and a perfect 12-0 in conference play, capturing the program's first conference regular season title. RMC went on to sweep fourth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan and second-seeded Roanoke in Crenshaw Gym to earn the first conference tournament title in program history. The program saw its first bid to the NCAA Tournament as a result. The 22 wins mark the most in a season in the seven-year history of the Yellow Jackets' program.

Each person I've been lucky enough to work with has made a lasting impact on my life. I'm truly excited to see all of the incredible opportunities and growth that lie ahead for this program."

Statistically, Taylor coached a collective group that broke eight individual single-season or career records. The single-season marks include kills (
Ian Wagenhauser), points (Wagenhauser), digs (
Brady Plucker), assists (
Kody Rogan), and hitting percentage (
Phillip Van Essendelft). Rogan was also named 2025 ODAC Offensive Player of the Year.
