Rogan, Taylor Headline Men's Volleyball All-ODAC Awards

FOREST, Va. – Following the first ODAC title in program history, Randolph-Macon Men's Volleyball has six members honored in the ODAC postseason awards. The Yellow Jackets went 22-9 on the season and a perfect 12-0 in conference play, earning Head Coach Christian Taylor the first ODAC Coach of the Year honor.
 
Junior setter Kody Rogan (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) has been named ODAC Offensive Player of the Year. In league play, Rogan led the ODAC in assists per set (9.20) and services aces per set (0.68), and service aces (27). Rogan is the program's all-time leader in aces and assists and earns his third all-conference honor after being first team all-CVC last year and third team in 2023.
 
Junior middle blocker Phillip Van Essendelft (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) has been named to the All-ODAC first team for the first time in his career. Van Essendelft led the conference in hitting percentage by a wide margin at .425. He was eighth in the league in blocks with 34 and top-15 in kills with 88. In the last four matches, Van Essendelft had 38 kills and just four errors.
 
Junior outside hitter Ian Wagenhauser (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) sees his name on the All-ODAC First Team, picking up a conference accolade for the third time in as many years. Wagenhauser finished third in the league in kills (135) and aces (17). Overall, Wagenhauser had 18 matches with double digit kills and 11 in conference play, including playoffs.
 
Sophomore outside hitter Bryce Matthews (Chesterfield, Va./Clover Hill) earned All-ODAC second team honors for his first career conference accolade. In league play, Matthews finished 13th in kills (89) and kills per set (2.28). He was also top-20 in digs per set (1.74), blocks (21). Matthews has a current streak of five consecutive matches with double-digit kills.
 
Sophomore libero Brady Plucker (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) also earned second team honors after finishing fourth in the league in digs with 104. In the final four regular season conference matches, Plucker dominated with 60 total digs across the four contests, including 21 against Randolph and 18 against Roanoke in back-to-back matches. The accolade is Plucker's first of his career.
 
The Yellow Jackets earned the ODAC's automatic bid to the 2025 Division III Volleyball Tournament and will play Nichols in the first round in Hoboken, N.J. on Thursday, hosted by Stevens Tech.
