LEXINGTON, Ky. – After debuting in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Preseason Poll for the second time in program history, RMC is listed as receiving votes in the third consecutive AVCA poll.
The Lemon and Black went 1-1 this past week. Despite dropping its match on the road against #4 Southern Virginia, Randolph-Macon is the only program to take a set off the defending national champions this season. They then returned home to dominate Carolina University, 3-0, in a record-setting performance.
Against Carolina, the Lemon and Black recorded their second-best hitting percentage (.507) in a single match in program history. As a team, they posted 14 service aces, which is the highest in the category in a single game since the 2023 season.
Extending back to the 2025 season, the Yellow Jackets have won 10 of their last 11 regular season home matches, with their last home loss coming in January of 2025.
This weekend, men's volleyball will host Marymount, Shenandoah, Regent and Gallaudet as part of a larger RMC Tournament. The Yellow Jackets have matches scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, as well at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31.
