VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Randolph-Macon women's swimming saw eleven event wins to highlight the Yellow Jackets against Virginia Wesleyan University.
Individual Winners
- Teaghan McNeill (Knightdale, N.C./Enloe) won the 50 yard breaststroke in 31.33 seconds for the Yellow Jackets. The sophomore won her second event in the 100 yard breaststroke with an overall time of 1:08.67, the time is the sixth fastest in the conference this season. McNeill won her third event with a time of 2:18.46 in the 200 yard IM.
- Kelsey James (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) was the first place finisher in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.27. The junior also won the 50 yard backstroke in 28.36 seconds for her second top finish of the day.
- Kierra Parsons (Akron, Pa./Ephrata) took home the victory in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.46.
- Cayden Fix (Barboursville, Va./William Monroe) won the 50 yard freestyle in 25.19 seconds.
- Caroline Russell (Lynchburg, Va./EC Glass) swam the 100 yard butterfly in 1:01.46 to win the event.
- Sophie Sullivan (Richmond, Va./Saint Catherine's) was the top finisher in the 50 yard butterfly with an overall time of 26.77 seconds.
Individual Highlights
- Brooklyn DeCann (Hunterville, N.C./Lincoln Charter) was second in the 200 yard freestyle in 2:05.01. The sophomore also placed second in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.64.
- Madi Reed (Stephens City, Va./Sherando) placed second in the 50 yard freestyle with an overall time of 25.44 seconds.
- Reese Painter (Houston, Texas./Duchesne Academy of Sacred Heart) swam the 50 yard backstroke in 29.17 seconds.
- Fix placed second in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 56.05 seconds.
Relay Winners
- The 200 yard medley relay team of James, Hanson, Reed and Sullivan placed first with a time of 1:53.20.
- The 200 yard freestyle relay team of James, Painter, Fix and Sullivan swam a time of 1:41.30 for first place.
