Eliasek and Bridges Earn TD Club State Awards

RICHMOND, Va. - The Touchdown Club of Richmond has announced its first group of college award winners for the 2025 football season. This group features nine players who competed at the NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III/NAIA/USCAA/NCCAA level:

Quarterback of the Year – Connor Barry, Christopher Newport University
Running Back of the Year – Curtis Allen, Virginia Union University
Offensive End of the Year – Colin Hart, WR, Christopher Newport University
Offensive Lineman of the Year – Myles Bridges, Randolph-Macon College
Defensive Lineman of the Year – Ean Rhea, Emory & Henry College
Linebacker of the Year – Daniel Eliasek, Randolph-Macon College
Defensive Back of the Year – Noah Martin, Christopher Newport University
Kicking Specialist of the Year – Brady Myers, PK, Virginia Union University
Return Specialist of the Year – ZyAire Tart, KR, Virginia Union University


The Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets, winners of their fourth straight Old Dominion Athletic Conference title, have two players being honored: 
Both Yellow Jackets were also All-ODAC First Team selections. Eliasek also was named the Defensive Player of the Year in the conference. 

Curtis Allen, from CIAA runner-up Virginia Union, was the top Running Back while Connor Barry, Christopher Newport, was the top Quarterback.

Virginia Union took both specialist awards as Brady Myers earned the Kicker Specialist award and ZyAire Tart won the Return Specialist award.

Rounding out the group of nine are Colin Hart, Christopher Newport, who was named top Offensive End, Noah Martin, Christopher Newport, who was the top Defensive Back and Ean Rhea, Emory and Henry, who was the Defensive Lineman of the Year.

The honored players will be recognized during the broadcast of the Dudley and Lanier Awards announcement, scheduled for Thursday, December 11. This awards broadcast, hosted by Lane Casadonte, will air on WTVR-TV6, the local CBS affiliate in Richmond, at 7:45pm. 

The NCAA Division I winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 9, and the two state Coaches of the Year will be announced on Wednesday, December 10.

The Touchdown Club of Richmond is a 501(c)3, sports-social organization, based in Richmond, Virginia. The club promotes the best interests of the American game of football and sports in general, with the predominate purpose being to recognize worthy athletes for their accomplishments. 

The club's membership compiles a ballot from all the football playing colleges and universities in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The ballot is then distributed to the club's membership for voting to determine the annual award winners.
