ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon softball team has released its 2026 spring schedule. The 40 game slate features 18 home games, 15 road games, and 7 neutral site games. The Yellow Jackets are coming off arguably their best season in program history, reaching the national semifinal game and look to continue an almost full decade of national success. The program has reached the postseason in seven straight seasons (not including the 2020 and 2021 covid seasons), dating back to the 2017 season.

Opening day is set for February 21, with a home doubleheader against Mary Washington at Carol Estes Park. The Lemon and Black will stay at home the following weekend, hosting SUNY New Paltz, Marymount and Meredith. Randolph-Macon will open the weekend with games against New Paltz and Marymount on February 28 at 11 am. and 1 pm. The final game of the day will be a matchup between New Paltz and Marymount at 3:30 pm. The following day, three more games will be played at Carol Estes Park. The Yellow Jackets will face New Paltz at 11 a.m. and Meredith at 3:30 pm. The middle game at 1:15 p.m. will see New Paltz and Meredith faceoff.
The Yellow Jackets will hit the road for the first time of the season at the Triangle Classic held in Cary, North Carolina on 3/7-3/8 . Randolph-Macon will play two games each day, seeing Gallaudet and Meredith on day one. The final day has the Lemon and Black taking on Tufts and Piedmont. The Jumbos were participants in the NCAA tournament a season ago. The team will head back home for a mid-week doubleheader against Greensboro College on 3/11. Randolph-Macon will end the week in Salisbury, Maryland on 3/14-3/15 at Salisbury University. The Yellow Jackets will play Muhlenberg and host Salisbury on the first day. The Sea Gulls appeared in the Super Regional stage of the NCAA tournament last season. Stockton and New York University will be the opponents for the Lemon and Black on the final day.
Randolph-Macon will begin conference play on the road against Shenandoah on 3/18, before making a trip to Newport News to take on Christopher Newport on 3/22. The first conference doubleheader at home will be against Sweet Briar on 3/28 and the month will end with a trip to Roanoke on 3/29. In the final month of the regular season, the Yellow Jackets will play a non-conference doubleheader at North Carolina Wesleyan on 4/1. Randolph-Macon's road trip continues with a pivotal conference matchup at Virginia Wesleyan on 4/3. The Marlins made an appearance in the National Championship series last season. Guilford, Averett and Lynchburg will all make the trip to Ashland for three consecutive home doubleheaders for the Lemon and Black on 4/11, 4/12 and 4/15. The final three series will see Randolph-Macon take on Eastern Mennonite (4/18) and Randolph (4/25) on the road. Bridgewater will be the lone home doubleheader on 4/21.
The ODAC tournament will take place on May 1-9, with the top two regular season teams hosting a pod format, double elimination playoff round on May 1-3. The championship will be a best-of-3 series at the higher seed on May 8-9.
