HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. - The Yellow Jackets closed out the regular season with a road trip to Hampden-Sydney, where they took the lead in the first half but the Tigers scored three unanswered goals, resulting in a 3-1 loss.

How it Happened
- The Yellow Jackets opened up the scoring in the 17th minute, when Grayson Woods (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) was in the perfect position on a corner kick from Wiley Eubank (Raleigh, N.C./Broughton). Woods' first shot was saved by HSC keeper Stig Larson but he collected the ball and booted it home, lifting the Yellow Jackets in the lead 1-0.
- Nine minutes later, Tyler Oakes (Nottingham, England/Toothhill School) was called for a foul in the box, resulting in a penalty kick for the Tigers. Charlie Letson booted the ball into the back of the net and evened the score 1-1.
- In the 42nd minute of the first half, Zach Richards (Virginia Beach, Va./Landstown) took a shot towards the bottom right of the goal that Larson saved. HSC went on the counterattack and two minutes later grabbed their first lead of the game on a goal from Jackson Robbins to go up 2-1.
- Coming out of halftime, the Yellow Jackets searched for an equalizing goal. They would have that chance in the 53rd minute, when Davian Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) placed a shot low center that the Tigers saved. 11 minutes later, HSC extended their lead after Victor Ovalle-Mares found Owen Edwards, who slotted the ball off a corner kick into the top left of the net. The Yellow Jackets searched for a path to victory but the Tigers stood tall and defeated RMC 3-1.

- HSC tallied 20 shots overall, while RMC recorded six. Five of the Yellow Jackets' shots were on frame, while the Tigers placed 11 on frame.
- Hampden-Sydney held a slight edge in corner kicks with six through the match; Randolph-Macon had five corner kicks this evening.
- Woods recorded the lone goal for the Yellow Jackets.
- Richards and Woods each had two shots against the Tigers.
