Yellow Jackets Drop Tough ODAC Match Against Wildcats

ASHLAND, Va. – Men's tennis had its second and final match of the weekend, resulting in a 7-0 loss against Randolph College in the Yellow Jackets' first ODAC match of the season.

Doubles
 
The doubles point was highlighted by John Paul Zano (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) and Karsten Palmer (Swepsonville, N.C./River Mill), as the freshman duo was able to steal a game off Randolph's first doubles pair. The Yellow Jackets first doubles paring has now won three games in their last two matches.

(RAN) Vincenzo Marchese and Carlos Haupt def. (RMC) Winston Chapman (Hampton, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) and Evan Holzmacher (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester), 6-0.
(RAN) Askel Tinnes-Rimehaug and Jason Duval def. (RMC) Jett Hales (Kenly, N.C./North Johnson) and Harris Wadsworth (Lake Wales, Fla./Lake Wales), 6-0.
 
Singles
 
Even though RMC was not able to secure a singles victory, both Palmer and Holzmacher were able to each win a game at second and third singles, respectively. Holzmacher finished with a team-high eight games won in singles this weekend.
