John Paul Zano (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) and Winston Chapman (Hampton, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) were able to steal a game at first doubles, as the Yellow Jackets were unable to secure the doubles point.

Singles
 
While Holzmacher and Hales both won games in each of their two sets, the Hornets were able to take each of the six singles courts from the Lemon and Black. Hales worked for a team-high five games won in his match and Holzmacher came away with three. Additionally, Zano was able to apply pressure in his second set, as the freshman emerged with wins in two games.
