ASHLAND, Va. - Men's Soccer hosted Bridgewater on Saturday afternoon in pivotal ODAC matchup. The Yellow Jackets grabbed a goal late but couldn't complete the comeback, falling 2-1.

How it Happened
- Bridgewater opened the first half with high offensive intensity, recording the first three shots of the match. In the ninth minute, the Eagles opened the scoring. Cole Dunbar forced Ethan Chenoweth (Newport News, Va./Warwick) to push the ball away but Dunbar collected the ball once again and booted it into the net.
- In the 21st minute, RMC recorded back-to-back shots from Tyler Oakes (Nottingham, England/Toothill School) and Davian Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville), testing BC keeper Zane Kowalski, who made saves on both, keeping Bridgewater in the lead. The Yellow Jackets had opportunities to find the equalizer in the first half. However, they couldn't find the net and trailed 1-0 heading into halftime.
- Five minutes into the second half, the Eagles' Riley Queen found the back of the net and doubled BC's lead. At the 70-minute mark, RMC continued to test Kowalski on shots from Barrett Wilson (Lexington, S.C./Lexington), Grayson Woods (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park), Kevin Sprince (Richmond, Va./Deep Run) and Elijah Caro (Asheville, N.C./Black Mountain) but Kowalski stood firm and kept the Eagles' two-goal lead intact.
- In the 87th minute, the Yellow Jackets got on the scoreboard on an own goal from BC. Randolph-Macon continued to push offensively in the final three minutes, searching for an equalizer but Bridgewater held firm and the match ended in a 2-1 loss for the Yellow Jackets.
