FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has released its preseason coaches' poll for the 2026 fall season and Randolph-Macon has been picked sixth. The Yellow Jackets received 61 points in the voting process. 

Josh Laux is entering his 12th season at the helm of the Yellow and Black. He returns a slew of key contributors from the 2025 season, including one of the team's two all-conference players, Damien Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville).

The standings start with ODAC Champion Lynchburg at the top, garnering 11 of the 12 first-place votes and totaling 121 points. Washington and Lee found themselves second with the final first-place vote as conference runner-ups and making an NCAA Tournament appearance, earning 116 points. Hampden-Sydney rounded out the top three spots with 101 overall points. 
 
Bridgewater earned the fourth spot with 84 overall points and Batten took fifth with 79 points, closing out the top-five.
 
Randolph-Macon landed in the sixth spot, an improvement from last year, with 61 points. Roanoke followed behind the Yellow Jackets in the seventh spot with 57 points. Shenandoah (56), Randolph (48) and EMU (41) rounded out the final three spots in the top 10.

The final two spots went to Guilford (18) and Averett (15) to complete the conference's men's soccer preseason poll for the 2026 season.  

Randolph-Macon will open the season on Tuesday, September 1, when they travel to USA South opponent North Carolina Wesleyan with a scheduled start of 4:00 p.m.
