DESTIN, Fla. - Randolph-Macon men's golf is in action for the first time since its eighth place finish at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate three weeks ago, taking part in the first round of the GolfWeek October Classic in Destin, Florida.

Luke Richardson (Davidsonville, Md./Archbishop Spalding) had an impressive front nine for the Yellow Jackets, firing a bogey free nine. The senior added a birdie on on the back nine and finished the round at +4 (75).Â
Charlie Wilkerson (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) was the final player to finish the first round for the Yellow Jackets. The sophomore finished with a +5 (76) and recorded three birdies and nine pars.Â
Michael Schaal (Chapel Hill, N.C./Carolina Friends) finished his opening round of the tournament with a score of +6 (77). The junior recorded four birdies and overall shot pars on six holes.Â
Will Johnson (Blackstone, Va./Kenston Forest School) completed a first round that saw the freshman start hot on the front nine. Johnson finished the round at +7 (78) and recorded a birdie on the front and back nine.
Kole Kohut (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) ended the round with a score of +10 (81) to round out the group for the Lemon and Black. The sophomore ended the front nine with a bridie on the ninth hole to highlight the day.Â
