How it Happened:
- RMC got three chances at the basket on their first possession of the game, ending in an Oliver Jones (Middletown, Del./South Kent Prep) bucket. The Yellow Jackets were up 4-0 before Bridgewater got on the board. Three pointers by Theo Antinori (Asheville, N.C./Rabun Gap) and Amr Areikat (Ramallah, Palestine/Langley) helped RMC surge out to a 16-2 lead with 12:33 to go in the first half. RMC kept pouring it on, as the lead grew to 31-9 with 4:56 to go until half. BC answered with an 11-2 run, but RMC took a 41-26 lead into halftime.
- After Jabril Robinson (Rockville, Md./South Kent Prep) got the second half started with a three, Bridgewater fought back to cut it to seven with two triples and a trio of three-point plays to make it 48-41. The Yellow Jackets stopped the bleeding with a quick 6-0 run but BC brought it back within seven at 54-47 with 12:18 to play. The flood gates began to open up from that point, as over the next six minutes, RMC would grow their lead to 24 with a 21-4 run and that run extended to 32-7 over a 10-minute span, giving RMC a comfortable 86-54 lead with two minutes to go. The Yellow Jackets would go on to win 89-62.
