RALEIGH, N.C. – Randolph-Macon men's soccer saw
Elijah Caro (Asheville, N.C./Black Mountain) record his first goal of his career in a second half domination on the road to defeat William Peace 3-0.

How it Happened
- The first half was slow for each team to gain any kind of offensive momentum to take the lead. Damien Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) and Davian Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) showed great play throughout the first half and in the game with help in both the offensive and defensive zones for the Yellow Jackets. Each team put two shots on frame, but neither were able to take the lead as the game went 0-0 into the halftime break.
- Randolph-Macon did not waste time to get on the board in the second half, scoring just 45 seconds into half. Jake Hall (Mount Airy, Ga./Tallulah Falls School) hit the post from outside of the box and Chazz Jones (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Catholic Academy) cleaned up the rebound to find the back of the net for the Yellow Jacket lead.
- The Lemon and Black doubled its lead in the 64th minute to take command of the game. Caro took a great slip pass from Hawkins Adcock (Chester, Va./Thomas Dale) to record his first goal of his college career.
- In the 82nd minute, the Yellow Jackets put a stamp on a second half domination with a goal by Grayson Woods (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) that was assisted by Dylan Matheny (Chesterfield, Va./Clover Hill). This was Woods first goal of the season and it helped seal a 3-0 victory on the road.

- Randolph-Macon outshot the Pacers 14-to-13. The Yellow Jackets held the advantage with seven shots on goal to WPU's five.
- The Yellow Jackets had six corner opportunities, compared to the three that William Peace had in the match. .
- Jones, Caro and Woods all scored for Randolph-Macon in the second half.
- Adcock and Matheny grabbed an assist each in the match.
- Adam Braithwaite (Chesterfield, Va./Matoaca) ended the game with five saves in goal and his fourth shutout of the season.
For the Record
- The victory snapped a 13 game home winning streak for the Pacers.
- This is the fourth shutout of the season for Randolph-Macon, tying the mark of last season.
