Maddy DeCandido totaled 32 digs and
Milly Mach tallied 44 assists in two matches for RMC Women's Volleyball on Saturday.

How it Happened vs. CMU
- RMC won three of the first five points of the match but CMU exploded out to a 5-1 run that gave them control of the set. The Yellow Jackets worked their way back to just a two-point deficit at 11-9 and then kept the momentum to take the lead at 16-15. The Tartans would then fight back and win eight of the next 10 points, and led 23-18. RMC went on a 3-0 run at the end of the set, but CMU closed it out for a 25-22 set win.
- Both teams traded points to begin the second set as RMC had a 8-7 lead before the Tartans went on a 4-0 run to grab an 11-8 advantage. The Yellow Jackets kept it close, trailing by two at 14-12 but CMU went on a 6-0 run to take command of the set. RMC broke up the run with a point but then the Tartans finished the set on a 5-0 run to move within one set of a sweep.
- CMU controlled the beginning of the third set, immediately jumping out to a 5-2 lead. RMC rallied to then take the lead and extend the lead out to 11-8. The lead flipped right back over to CMU, however, as they went on a 7-1 run to take a 15-12 lead. RMC brought it back within one, but a later 6-1 run put the Jackets behind by six. RMC went on a 3-0 run, but CMU held off the late rally to earn the sweep with a 25-20 win.
Inside the Numbers vs. CMU
- Maddy DeCandido (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) led the team with 21 digs.
- Kylie Wilhelmi (Cherry Valley, Ill./Rockford Lutheran) had a team-high nine kills while also having 10 digs.
- Milly Mach (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) led RMC with 13 assists.
- Mia Zazzero (Tampa, Fla./Holy Names) had four blocks and an ace.
How it Happened vs. SU
- RMC opened the first set by taking a 5-4 lead in the opening points. The Sea Gulls got their footing with a 5-1 run that gave them the lead. SU continued their run, taking a commanding 17-7 lead in set one. RMC was down 21-12 before a 9-2 run brought the Jackets back within two points. SU won the final two points that ultimately gave them the set one win, 25-21.
- The Yellow Jackets gained momentum at the beginning of the second frame, surging out to a 12-6 lead. After SU grabbed a point, RMC went on another 3-0 run to make the score 15-7. Salisbury fought back to cut the deficit to four, but RMC pushed it right back out to seven at 20-13. From there, the tide turned in SU's favor, as they won 9 of the next 11 points to tie the score at 22. Salisbury got to set point first, leading 24-23, but RMC scored to keep the set going, but the Sea Gulls completed the comeback with two straight points to win 26-24.
- Like the second set, RMC opened the third frame with the lead. The Jackets led 7-4 but was quickly flipped around by a 7-0 run from Salisbury. RMC answered back with an 8-2 run of their own to regain the lead. After SU got the lead back at 18-17, the Yellow Jackets won eight of the last nine points of the set to force a set four and avoid the sweep.
- Salisbury controlled the fourth set the entire way, as they jumped out to a 14-6 lead right away. RMC battled with a 6-2 run of their own but Salisbury held off the RMC comeback attempt and finished the set on a 3-0 run to earn the win, 25-17.
Inside the Numbers vs. SU
- Milly Mach had a season-high 31 assists. She also had 10 digs and two block assists.
- Kylie Wilhelmi led the Jackets with 14 kills.
- Kaitlyn Kaplan (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) led RMC with 14 digs.
- Maddy DeCandido had 11 digs, giving her 10+ digs in six straight matches and all but one match on the year.
