ASHLAND, Va. – Head coach
Brent Kintzer and Randolph-Macon swimming have announced the hiring of Abby Doss as an assistant coach on staff.
Doss arrives at Randolph-Macon from Shamokin, Pennsylvania, and was on the swim team at Shamokin Area High School. Doss spent a year at North Carolina State University, followed by three years at Bucknell University. She earned a flurry of accolades, including being named a two-time Patriot League all conference performer (2022 First Team and 2023 Second Team). She garnered three medals during her time with the Bison, earning a silver medal in the 400 IM in 2022, a bronze in 2023 and took home the bronze medal in the 200 breaststroke in 2023. She also owns the school record in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.44 and is a part of the 200 medley relay team that with a time of 1:41.95 ranked second in school history. Doss also was a participant in the 2021 United States Olympic Qualifiers in Omaha, Nebraska and competed in 400 meter freestyle.
Doss was a four semester dean's list student and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology along with a minor in Sociology from Bucknell University.
