LEXINGTON, Va. - Randolph-Macon women's swimming had a great showing in a tri-meet with Washington & Lee and Chowan. They fell to W&L 179-81 and defeated Chowan 221-20.
Individual Winners
- Kelsey James (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) earned a first-place finish in the 100 Back with a time of 1:00.66, which was one second faster than second place.Â
Individual Highlights
- During the 1000 Free, Brooklyn Decann (Huntersville, N.C./Lincoln Charter) finished with a time of 11:16.93, earning a second-place finish.
- Reese Painter (Houston, Texas/Duchesne Academy of Sacred Heart) earned a fourth-place finish with a time of 2:00.77 during the 200 Free.
- In the 100 Back, Abby Kozlowski (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) earned a third-place finish with a time of 1:02.93.
- During the 200 Breast, Anna Sprott (Hampton, Va./Peninsula Catholic) finished with a time of 1:10.21, earning third-place. She also finished in second during the 200 Breast with a time of 2:33.83.
- In the 200 Fly, Caroline Russell (Lynchburg, Va./EC Glass) had a great swim with a time of 2:15.08, earning herself fourth-place. She added a second-place finish to the evening in the 500 Free with a time of 5:24.74. In the 200 Medley, she finished with a time of 2:18.33 for third place.
- Sophie Sullivan (Richmond, Va./Saint Catherine's) added an outstanding swim in the 50 Free, finishing with a time of 25.03 seconds, for a second-place finish. During the 100 Fly, she finished with a time of 1:01.07 to earn a fourth-place finish. Â
- Teaghan McNeill (Knightdale, N.C./Enloe) finished with a time of 55.80 seconds during the 100 Free for a fourth-place finish. She earned a fourth-place finish in the 200 Medley with a time of 2:21.61.
- James added to her night in the 200 Back with a second-place finish in 2:13.18.
- Hannah Loyd (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) earned a third-place finish in the 500 Free with a time of 5:28.16.
- During the 200 Medley, Izzie Check (Williamsburg, Va./Bruton) earned a second-place finish with a time of 2:16.96.
Relay Highlights
- The 200 Medley relay team of James, Sprott, Reed and Sullivan earned a second-place finish with a time of 1:52.04.
- The 200 Free relay team of Reed, James, Painter and Sullivan earned a second-place finish with a time of 1:41.92.
- In the same event, the relay team of Sprott, Loyd, Rogerson and Swenson finished in third place with a time of 1:46.67.

- James won the 100 back with her fastest dual meet time this season.
