TYSONS, Va. – Sophomore
Carter Schmitt (Glen Allen, Va./St. Christopher's) drew a pair of walks as the 19th-ranked and top-seeded Randolph-Macon baseball team was held without a run or a hit for the first time this season by fourth-seeded Lynchburg on Thursday afternoon at the ODAC Championship.

How It Happened:
- After holding the Hornets scoreless in the top of the first, the Yellow Jackets loaded the bases in the bottom of the first. Freshman Jon Quici (Paoli, Pa./Conestoga) reached on an error and Schmitt walked. With two away, freshman Zach Wernoski (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) was hit by a pitch to load the bases. But RMC was unable to get on the scoreboard first.
- Lynchburg put up one in the third, two in the fourth, and single runs in the fifth and eighth for a 5-0 lead. The Yellow Jackets would not get multiple runners on base after the first.
- Wesley Arrington threw 133 pitches in recording the no-hitter for the Hornets.
