ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon men's tennis moves to 2-5 (1-2) after falling to Pfeiffer University 7-2 at the Banks Tennis Center. In doubles play
Braxton Fagan (Richmond, Va./Deep Run) and
Max Hammock (Vienna, Va./James Madison) won a close game with the score at 8-7. In the two other doubles matches, the tandem of
Max Doyle (Alexandria, Va./St. John's College (D.C)) and
Evan Holzmacher (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) were defeated 8-1, as well as
Winston Chapman (Hampton, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) and
William Adair (Henrico, Va./Hermitage) were also defeated 8-1. Hammock was the lone winner in singles matches, as he took down his opponent using a clutch first set. Doyle played hard in third singles, taking his opponent to a third and decisive set, but was turned away.
