ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon baseball combined for 35 runs in a double header sweep of Eastern Mennonite on Dugout Day and Gregg Waters Day at Estes Park on Saturday.

How it Happened in Game 1:
- RMC broke through in the bottom of the first after a Chaz Harvey (Charlottesville, Va./Miller School) double scored Carter Schmitt (Glen Allen, Va./St. Christopher's) who singled with one away. After a walk, Aidan Pinto (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) tripled home a pair of runs and later scored on a wild pitch. Logan Duff (Forest, Va./Liberty Christian) got a two-out walk and worked his way around the bases to score on a wild pitch to make the lead 5-0 after one inning.
- EMU scored a run in the second frame after a trio of two-out singles, but Jon Quici (Paoli, Pa./Conestoga) tripled and Schmitt doubled to begin the bottom half, making the score 6-1. With two away, an error helped score Schmitt and Duff singled to score two more runs as RMC led 9-1 through two frames.
- Harvey extended the lead with a solo home run in the fourth inning, which was followed by three straight hits, the last of which being a two-run single by Duff to make the score 12-1. RMC scored two more two-out runs as Schmitt walked to bring in a run and Jordan Hill (Norfolk, Va./Granby) scored on a passed ball as RMC led 14-1.
- The Yellow Jackets scored four more two out runs in the fifth as Hill walked to bring in a run, which was followed by a Matt Myers (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) two-run single and a Schmitt RBI double to extend the lead to 18-1.
- EMU tallied a run in the top of the sixth. Cole Mallory (Ashland, Va./Patrick Henry) singled and later scored on a wild pitch to make the lead 19-2.
- Eli Brooks (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) singled in the seventh inning and scored on Mallory's second hit in as many innings, this one being an RBI double to make the score 20-2.
- RMC got more two-out magic in the eighth inning as Anthony Farmakides (Falls Church, Va./McLean) tripled home a pair of runs and Brooks, the ensuing batter, singled to score Farmakides to push the lead out to 23-2.
By The Numbers
- Carter Schmitt went 3-4 with two doubles, driving in three runs and scoring a run.
- Chaz Harvey launched his sixth homer of the year as one of his three hits. He also had a double and three runs while driving in two.
- Aidan Pinto scored four times while collecting two hits and two RBI.
- Logan Duff drove in four runs with two hits.
- Carter Schuma (Midlothian, Va./Trinity Episcopal) pitched six innings, allowing six hits and just two runs, earning his second win on the year.

- The Royals put pressure on early with a leadoff double in the first, leading to a pair of runs after a two-out single. The Yellow Jackets left runners on second and third in the bottom half.
- EMU struck again in the second to extend their lead to three after a walk and two singles.
- RMC broke through in the fourth inning after Grayson Bush (Charlottesville, Va./Monticello) hit a sacrifice fly to score Zach Wernoski (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) to cut the lead to 3-1.
- With two down in the fifth, Harvey hit his second big fly of the day, a two-run blast that knotted the score at three.
- Myers reached on an error Hill and Bush both singled on bunts to begin the sixth. Myers would then score on a throwing error on Bush's bunt, which then led to a two-run double by Eli Brooks to open the lead out to 6-3.
- Hill gave RMC some insurance with an RBI double to score Wernoski in the seventh.
- The lead ballooned in the eighth as a hit by pitch and a walk gave way to a two-run single by Harvey, then a two-run triple by Wernoski, and finally an infield RBI single by Myers made the lead 12-3, where it would remain to give RMC the sweep.

- Chaz Harvey blasted his seventh home run of the season and second on the day. He finished with four RBI and two runs scored.
- Harvey, Wernoski, Hill, and Bush all had two hits in the game.
- Drew Ramos (Williamsburg, Va./Lafayette) tossed six innings, including four scoreless after the second frame. He struck out six and moved to 7-0 on the year.
- Myles Webb (Norfolk, Va./Granby) walked three times and stole two bases.
