BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Randolph-Macon men's tennis moves to 2-8 (1-5) after falling to conference foe Bridgewater College 6-3 on the road on Tuesday night. In doubles play
Max Hammock (Vienna, Va./James Madison) and
Braxton Fagan (Richmond, Va./Deep Run) took home the victory in first doubles 8-5 to start the entire match.
Max Doyle (Alexandria, Va./St. John's College (D.C)) and
Evan Holzmacher (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) dropped an intense second doubles match-up that could have gone either way. The Eagles took care of business in third doubles to sweep doubles, going into singles matches. Hammock made quick work of his opponent in first singles, giving up only one point. Fagan took the momentum from a wild first set to take home the win in second singles to pull the Yellow Jackets into the lead in the match. Bridgewater won the final four singles matches to take home the victory 6-3 over Randolph-Macon.
