How it Happened:
- Keishawn Pulley Jr. (Richmond, Va./St. Christopher's School) got the scoring started with a layup on RMC's first possession of the game. The Yellow Jackets stormed out to a 9-3 lead in the first five minutes. EMU brought it back within two at 10-8, but a 7-0 run extended the lead back out for RMC. The Royals climbed back within three points before another scoring spree for the Lemon and Black gave them their first double-digit lead of the game at 26-16 with 3:30 left in the first half. Amr Areikat (Ramallah, Palestine/Langley) got fouled as time expired in the first stanza, and his two free throws gave RMC a 33-24 lead at the break.
- An alley-oop from Jabril Robinson (Rockville, Md./South Kent Prep) was dunked home by Charlie Thornton (Radnor, Pa./Radnor) to begin the scoring in the second half. EMU would proceed to score the next eight points to trim the lead to three, but RMC would fend off the comeback by the Royals and slowly extended the lead back out. Delani Hammonds (Charlotte, N.C./Ardrey Kell) and Bryce Scott (Charlotte, N.C./Providence Day) teamed up to help RMC build a 13-point lead with 8:06 remaining. EMU got the lead down to nine, but that was as close as it got the rest of the way. In the final 7:14, RMC outscored the Royals 23-12 and took an 80-60 road win.
