Kylie Wilhelmi (Cherry Valley, Ill./Rockford Lutheran) recorded 20 kills to lead Randolph-Macon Women's Volleyball to a 3-0 sweep of Maryville (Tenn.) on Friday afternoon in the Emory Invitational.

How it Happened
- With the score tied at 2-2 in Game 1, consecutive kills by junior Milly Mach (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) and freshman Allison Lach (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) ended a 4-0 run as the Yellow Jackets went up 6-2. The Scots closed to within two at 9-7 before three Wilhelmi kills highlighted a seven-point spurt as RMC took a 16-7 advantage before posting a 25-14 victory.
- In the second game, a kill by sophomore Lola Nolasco (Georgetown, Texas/Gateway College Prep) capped a 5-0 start for the Yellow Jackets. Wilhelmi had a block and three consecutive kills to extend the lead to 13-5. MC narrowed the gap to 17-13 before a kill by Lach started a three-point run to make it 20-13. Freshman Ella Courtney (Arlington, Va./Wakefield) delivered the final kill to give the Yellow Jackets a 25-19 win.
- The teams stayed within one point of each other early before a kill by Lach and a ball-handling error by the Scots put RMC up 13-11. MC put together a four-point run to take a 16-15 edge before Wilhelmi had three kills in four straight points for the Yellow Jackets as RMC went up 19-16. The Scots used another four-point outburst to take a 21-20 lead before two kills by Lach gave the Yellow Jackets the lead for good in a five-point run to give RMC a 25-21 victory.
By the Numbers
- The Yellow Jackets hit .370 in the match, their top mark of the season. RMC had 14 kills, 31 total attacks and one error in Game 1 for a hit percentage of .419. The Yellow Jackets had 15 kills, 30 total attacks and two errors for a hit percentage of .433.
- Wilhelmi had 20 kills and just two errors for a hit percentage of .529. She added one block, one service ace and nine digs.
- Lach finished with 11 kills and six digs.
- Mach paced the victors with 22 assists. She also had six digs.
- Freshman Trinity Makley (Morrisville, N.C./Panther Creek) was second on the team with 13 assists. She also had six digs and two service aces.
- Senior Maddy DeCandido (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) led the Yellow Jackets with 13 digs.
