HAMPTON, Va. -  Randolph-Macon women's swimming sits third out of eight teams participating in the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Hampon, Va. after day one. RMC totaled 185 points through five events.

Individual Highlights

• Sophie Sullivan (Richmond, Va./Saint Catherine's) captured the school record in the 50 free, winning the event with a time of 24.27. She beat out the next closest swimmer by .02.
• Reese Painter (Houston, Tex./Duchesne Academy of Sacred Heart) took a top-10 finish in the same event, finishing in 24.88.
• Kierra Parsons (Akron, Pa./Ephrata) finished in the top-10 in the 500 free, clocking in a time of 5:12.36.

Relay Highlights

• The 200 free relay saw another school record be broken by the Yellow Jackets. The relay team of Reese Painter, Kelsey James (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial), Cayden Fix (Barboursville, Va./William Monroe), and Sophie Sullivan finished in 1:38.18 to post a school-best in the event and slot fourth in the relay.
• RMC also finished eighth in the same relay event with a team of Madi Reed (Stephens City, Va./Sherando), Kierra Parsons, Hannah Loyd (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes), and Teaghan McNeill (Knightdale, N.C./Enloe). The relay team finished the event in 1:42.19.
• RMC finished sixth in the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:03.51. They also finished eighth in the event with a time of 4:10.28.
