IHSA Team Crowned Champion at Christopher Newport
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The Randolph Macon College IHSA Team took home first place out of eight teams at Christopher Newport University on Sept. 22. Senior Macy Walton (Mechanicsville, Va.) qualified for IHSA Regionals with an event win in Limit Flat.
Walton was one of five Yellow Jackets to win an event. She was joined by senior Kelsey Sullivan (Hamilton, Va.) in Open Fences, junior
Ruthie Alexander (Louisa, Va) in Limit Fences, freshman
McKenna Looney (Montpelier, Va.) in Intermediate Flat, and freshman Elziabeth Bechtold (Kennett Square, Pa.) in Novice.
Sophomore Reilly Folliard (Arlington, Va.) took second place in Limit Flat and fifth in Limit Fences, while Freshman
Kennedy Herring (Powhatan, Va.) placed fourth and third in the same classes.
Sophomore Evelyn Engel (Goochland, Va.) earned third place in the Pre-Novice class and sophomore
Chesnea Anderson (Mechanicsville, Va.) took fourth in the Introductory class.

Lucy Leff Earns USEA Area II Championship
ADAMSTOWN, Md. -- Junior Lucy Leff (Menlo Park, Calif.) won the USEA Area II Championship in the Starter class on her horse "Milo" at the Maryland Horse Trials from Oct. 4-6.
"I am so grateful for the Randolph-Macon Eventing Team and our coach Craig Barr for all the opportunities that got me here!" Leff said.
"This is now only our fourth show back from retirement together, and it's the best feeling in the world to be able to ride and compete with my best friend again," Leff said of the bond with her horse.. "Milo really is the best pony a kid could ask for and is the best thing that has happened to me"
