How it Happened:
- Guilford had the advantage early over RMC, holding a 15-10 lead before the Yellow Jackets went on a 9-2 run that gave them the lead, which they held the rest of the way. They won four of the final six points of the set to win set one, 25-21.
- RMC took the momentum into the second set, jumping out to a 7-1 lead immediately. Guilford was able to come back and cut the lead to one at 11-10. The Lemon and Black were able to extend their lead again to a 16-11 and held that lead. A late 6-0 run for RMC gave them cushion that wrapped up the second set, 25-18.
- The beginning of the third set was tight but RMC broke it open with a 7-0 run to extend their lead out to 18-9 which was too much for the Quakers to come back from. Despite a comeback attempt, the Yellow Jackets completed the sweep, winning the second set 25-21.
