How it Happened:
- The lead switched sides for the majority of the first set, Bridgewater was able to capture the lead for good late and proceeded to stop a small RMC run at the end of the set to take set one, 25-21.
- Randolph-Macon flipped the switch in the second set. Surging out to a 16-8 lead after Jordynn Little (Apex, N.C./Green Level) had two kills and a block to build the lead. Bridgewater couldn't overcome the deficit as RMC took set two in dominant fashion, 25-13.
- The Yellow Jackets opened the third set on a 6-1 run, forcing a Bridgewater timeout. The Eagles showed life but the Jackets once again extended the lead to 20-9. Bridgewater went on a 5-0 run from that point to force an RMC timeout to try to halt momentum. The Eagles came right back out of the timeout to go on a 5-1 run to cut the deficit to two points forcing another timeout. RMC would in four of the next six points to take set three, 25-21.
- The beginning of the fourth set had both teams fighting for the lead. It took a 3-0 run for RMC to open an 18-14 lead that they would not look back from to cap off the four-set win.
