LEXINGTON, Va. – The Randolph-Macon men's soccer team visited Washington and Lee for a matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets fell short in a defensive battle after falling victim to two General goals.

How it Happened
- Randolph-Macon's defense held up through the first 37 minutes of the match, facing six shots and multiple attacks from the Generals. Davian Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) got his first career start for the Yellow Jackets and played a huge role in the defensive end.
- Washington and Lee broke through in the 38th minute on a goal by Alec Perez that was assisted by Buster Couhig to take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
- Bryce Kuberek (King George, Va./King George) and Jake Hall (Mount Airy, Ga./Tallulah Falls School) played very well in the midfield, creating multiple opportunities for the Lemon and Black.
- The Generals added an early second half goal in the 48th minute that was credited to Matteo Adler and assisted by Grant McCarty to put W&L up 2-0.
- Wiley Eubank (Raleigh, N.C./Broughton) and Damien Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) were also bright spots for the Yellow Jackets in the defensive end to keep the attack of the Generals to a minimum.
- Randolph-Macon had a couple of opportunities at goal by Kodi Tannor (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) and Trevor Moyer (Hampton, Va./Kecoughton), but the Washington and Lee goalkeeper kept RMC off the scoreboard for a 2-0 home win for the Generals.

- Washington and Lee outshot the Yellow Jackets 25-to-5. The Yellow Jackets put one shot on frame to W&L's ten.
- The Generals had 12 corner opportunities, as Randolph-Macon only had three corner opportunities.
