- Randolph-Macon's Austin Fattizzi (Virginia Beach, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) applied pressure on the Marlin goal-keeper and forced a turnover that Zach DeShazo (Henrico, Va./Mills E. Godwin) booted into the back of the net to creep closer down 3-2.
- The Lemon and Black applied a good amount of pressure to try to find the equalizing goal, putting multiple shots on frame, but the Marlins were able to escape with a 3-2 conference road victory.
