– Randolph-Macon women's volleyball fell in both matches in Pittsburgh on Saturday.

How it Happened (vs. William Smith)
- RMC held some momentum at the beginning of the first set but William Smith took a 12-10 deficit and turned it into a 15-12 lead that they did not give up. RMC cut the deficit to 22-21 but the Herons won the final three points to take the opening stanza.
- William Smith continued the momentum early in the second with an 8-2 lead. The Yellow Jackets went on a 6-1 run later in the set to take a 13-11 lead but couldn't hold onto the lead. Once again, the Herons won the final three points of the set to take a commanding 2-0 lead.
- The Herons held the lead for the entirety of the third set, with RMC threatening multiple times but could never cross the threshold. William Smith closed the set on a 7-2 run to finish the sweep.
Inside the Numbers (vs. William Smith)
- Grace Parker (Andover, N.J./Pope John XXIII) led the team with 16 kills and hit .238.
- Lola Nolasco (Georgetown, Tx./Gateway College Prep) hit .500 with five kills and three blocks, one of which was a solo block.
- Laura Walton (Urbanna, Va./Middlesex) led the Yellow Jackets with 16 assists, which ties her career-high that was set back on Sept. 27 against Randolph.
- RMC had six blocks compared to just three for the Herons.
How it Happened (vs. Carnegie Mellon)
- RMC trailed just 4-3 in the early stages of set one but CMU proceeded to go on a 21-2 run the remainder of the set to roll to a 1-0 lead.
- The Tartans continued their momentum into the second by building a 7-1 lead. As the Yellow Jackets gained some traction, CMU continued to keep the lead out of reach, taking set two, 25-18.
- Once again, the Tartans started fast, jumping out to a 9-3 lead in the third frame. RMC would cut the lead to four a couple times, but a 6-0 run for CMU to take a 22-12 lead gave them the final boost to complete the sweep.
Inside the Numbers (vs. Carnegie Mellon)
- Maddy DeCandido (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) led the way with 13 digs, finishing the tri-match with double-digit digs in both matches.
- Mia Zazzero (Tampa, Fla./Holy Names) totaled five blocks.
- Grace Parker helped the block party with three.
