Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon Field Hockey team took to the road for the first time this season as they headed up to McDaniel College. In thrilling fashion, McDaniel protected their home field as they won in shootouts.

How it Happened
- A defensive battle in the first half saw just two shots from the Green Terror and Junior Goalkeeper Kelsey Seiler (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) saved the one on net to keep it knotted at zero.
- The Yellow Jackets put the pressure on in the second half, getting eight shots on goal but were all saved by McDaniel's Goalkeeper Mikayla Smith sending it into overtime.
- The first overtime period saw no shots on goal from either side but in the second overtime, the Jackets were awarded four penalty corners but couldn't cash in, leading to shootouts.
- McDaniel's Yeseniah Ortiz buried the game winning stroke to close the game.
Inside the Numbers
- Kelsey Seiler tallied 6 saves in the cage to lead the Yellow Jacket efforts, all of which coming in regulation.
- Sophomore Alaina McCoy led the way offensively with 3 shots on goal, with two teammates with two shots on goal.
