ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team used an Olivia Adams (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) header from a beautiful Riley Russ (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) ball to the back post to best Southern Virginia, 1-0, at Nunnally Field Friday night under the lights. The set piece proved to be the difference as Randolph-Macon looked strong offensively throughout the match.

How it Happened:

• Adams' goal was the first of her senior campaign, as the defender has two goals in her career as a Yellow Jacket. The only other goal come in her freshman season.
• Keeper Erin Morris (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) was not called on very often, seeing just one shot in the clean sheet effort. The freshman has two starts in her career, both resulting in clean sheets.

By The Numbers:

• Randolph-Macon outshot the Knights 12-1 on the evening, seven of which were on frame. 
• Russ' assist on the Adams goal stands as the third time a Yellow Jacket has recorded an assist this season. R-MC has six assists on the year on 12 total goals.
