Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon field hockey team hit the road for a non-conference matchup against Meredith on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets dominated their way to victory.

How it Happened:
- R-MC started fast, getting on the board 10 minutes into the game, thanks to freshman forward Lynn Giesken (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) putting the finishing touches on a penalty corner assist from senior midfielder Catherine Magill (Moseley, Va./Trinity Episcopal School).
- From then on, it was all Yellow Jackets, as they added two tallies in each of the next three quarters, beginning with a goal from senior midfielder Catherine Magill (Moseley, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) off a pass from sophomore defender Anna Scheir (Fallston, Md./Fallston). Just two and a half minutes later, junior forward Emma Landis (Annandale, NJ/North Hunterdon) made it a three-goal lead for R-MC.
- The next two goals came less than two minutes apart in the third quarter as Lynn Giesken took a pass from Landis to add to the lead, and then Landis struck again with her second goal to extend the lead to five.
- The fourth quarter was more of the same. R-MC dominated, leading to a goal in the middle of the frame by sophomore forward Mia Kuhnle (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) off a pass from senior midfielder Summer Kujawa (Hampton, Va./Kecoughton) as her second assist of the game.
- Junior forward Raegan Williams (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) scored on a last second penalty corner off an assist from sophomore forward Mackenzie Wunderlich (Midlothian, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) as the final tally of the game.
Inside the Numbers:
- R-MC outshot the Avenging Angels 27-1 in the game and had the advantage in penalty corners 21-1.
- Emma Landis had five points on the day, with two goals and an assist to her name.
- Lynn Giesken notched her first multi-goal game of her career with her two goals today.
- Mia Kuhnle led the way with five shots on goal to go along with her goal in the fourth quarter.
- Summer Kujawa added her two assists, giving her the team lead with four on the year.
- The Yellow Jackets picked up their second shutout of the season.
