Box Score FREDRICKSBURG, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's volleyball team dropped its opener Thursday night, falling 3-0 to Mary Washington on the road.

How It Happened:
- The Eagles took the opening set after a late 9-3 run created enough cushion to see the set out.
- The second set was played back-and-forth with neither side creating any distance until after the 20th point was reached. Mary Washington again found success late in the set with a quick four-point run to build a two-set lead.
- Randolph-Macon looked to extend the match in the third set, being the first to 10 points, but the Eagles closed the set on a 15-7 run to finish the sweep.
Inside The Numbers :
- Grace Parker (Andover, N.J./Pope John XXIII) led the way for the Yellow Jackets with 10 kills and seven digs, while Leslie Curry (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) tallied 10 digs of her own to lead the way on the defensive side.
- Mary Washington had four different Eagles record five or more kills in the win, while Dakota Hansen recorded nine digs to lead UMW.
