ASHLAND, Va. – Lauren Donovan's goal from a delivery from Leah Conrad in the opening minute proved to be the difference as Randolph-Macon women's soccer opened the 2022 campaign with a win in front of the home fans at Nunnally Field.

How it Happened:

• Lauren Donovan (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) opened the season with a bang for Randolph-Macon, scoring in the first minute as Leah Conrad (Bristow, Va./Saint John Paul The Great) delivered a beautiful ball into the box.
• Keeper Abby Cook (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) recorded six saves in the opening half to hold the Eagles at bay.

By The Numbers:

• Six of Abby Cook's seven saves came in the first half to stifle the Mary Washington effort. 
• Mary Washington outshot the Yellow Jackets 16-8 despite not finding the back of the net.
