(ASHLAND, Va.) – The NCAA softball tournament will start a little earlier than anticipated for teams in the Ashland, Va., Regional as game times for Friday have been moved up once again. No. 2 Susquehanna and No. 3 MIT will kick things off at 10 a.m. with No. 1 Randolph-Macon and No. 4 Farmingdale State following at 12:30 p.m.
The four-team regional is in a double-elimination format and is currently scheduled to run through Sunday with Monday serving as an alternate date for games.
The region will be full of unfamiliar faces for the Lemon and Black as this will be the first meeting between the Yellow Jackets and Farmingdale State. Should Randolph-Macon be paired opposite of MIT, it would be just the second meeting with the Engineers who the Jackets defeated earlier this season in Georgia. Only Susquehanna has played R-MC more than once and split a twin bill here back in 2016.
Should the rest of the schedule stay the same, games will start on Saturday and Sunday at noon.
Tickets may be purchased at the gate and will be cash only.
