FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced their all-conference teams and special awards from the 2026 softball season. The Yellow Jackets were represented with one special award and three all-conference honorees.
Freshman pitcher
Sierra Kegley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) was named the conference's rookie of the year and to the first team, following an amazing first year campaign. Kegley is the first Yellow Jacket to be named to the award, since
Gracie Ellis '25 was given the award her first year on campus in 2022. The Mechanicsville native ended the regular season ranked fourth in the conference in strikeouts (93), fourth in wins (14), fifth in runs allowed (36), sixth in earned-run average (1.80) and sixth in opponents batting average (.215). Kegley also tossed eight shutouts this season, tying her at fourth most in a single season with Ellis that recorded that amount in the 2024 season. She also threw a perfect game against Sweet Briar that helped her win ODAC Pitcher of the Week this season.
Junior catcher
Ashley Bush (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) was named as an All-ODAC second team performer. The Virginia Beach native ended the season with a .326 batting average, adding seven doubles, five home runs, a triple and recorded 22 RBIs. Bush also had impressive statistics of a .433 on-base percentage, an OPS of 1.038 and a slugging percentage of .605.
Sophomore Utility
Katerina Brabson (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern) was named as an All-ODAC second team designated player. Brabson ended her second season with Randolph-Macon with a .442 batting average, adding four doubles, a triple and a home run.
Sophomore
Mya Davis (Chesapeake, Va./Grassfield) rounded out the group on the All-ODAC third team. The Chesapeake native ended the season with the 11th best batting average in the conference at .410. Davis also ranked 12th in on base percentage (.488), on base plus slugging (1.098), 13th in slugging percentage (.610), 15th in home runs (4) and ranked inside the top-20 in hits (43) and runs scored (30). She also added seven doubles, a triple and 25 RBIs.
