(SALEM, Va.) – The long-awaited return to the postseason ends tomorrow for Randolph-Macon as it opens up the ODAC Softball Tournament as the No. 2 seed. They'll open up play with the seventh-seeded Shenandoah Hornets Friday at 2 p.m.
The field is one of the deepest the tournament has ever seen as any of the eight teams has the talent to win it all. Highlighting the field are three nationally ranked teams. In addition to the No. 13 Yellow Jackets, Virginia Wesleyan and Roanoke also line the field as two of the top 25 teams in the country.
All teams will play twice on Friday. Should the Yellow Jackets win their first game, they will play the winner between No. 3 Virginia Wesleyan and No. 6 Ferrum at 7. Losers of the aforementioned games will square off at 5 with the defeated party of that game going home.
